Governor of Al-Gazira Announces Establishment of Eight Specialized Industrial Zones

The Governor of Al-Gazira State, Taher Ibrahim Al-Khair, has announced his plans to establish eight specialized industrial zones.
During a meeting with Minister of Industry and Trade, Mahasin Ali Yaqub, he affirmed that the initiative comes as part of the state government’s efforts to expand the production base and create wide employment opportunities for youth.
The governor praised the significant efforts made by the minister in advancing industrial development and removing obstacles facing industrial chambers across the country.
He confirmed that the minister has fulfilled her commitments regarding the state’s industrial requirements, achieving tangible progress—particularly in the industrial areas of Maringan, Al-Baqir, and East Madani—while commending her outstanding performance and practical approach in supporting the national industrial sector.
For her part, Minister Mahasin Ali Yaqub hailed the governor’s efforts in supporting reconstruction and development projects, especially within the industrial sector, which has been heavily affected by the ongoing conflict.
She reiterated the ministry’s commitment to implementing all necessary measures to rehabilitate and relaunch industrial zones in the state, contributing to revitalizing the national economy and boosting local production.
