Minister of Human Resources Inspects Industrial Sector in Berber Locality

Federal Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Moatasem Ahmed Saleh, emphasized the importance of removing obstacles facing Sudan’s industrial sector, particularly the cement industry.

During his visit to Berber Cement Factory in Nile River State, Saleh stated that the ministry is committed to supporting cement sector companies to ensure operational stability. He praised the factory’s high productivity, advanced capabilities, and skilled workforce, calling for unified efforts to address industry challenges and present them for national discussion.

Acting Governor of Nile River State, Mustafa Al-Sharif, affirmed the government’s readiness to support operating companies and factories to ensure continuous and stable production. He noted that the state gives significant attention to the industrial sector and regularly follows up with companies on their operational progress.

Eng. Omar Bashir Ghalib, General Manager of Berber Cement Factory, outlined key challenges facing the industry, including rising fees and difficulties obtaining production inputs. He called for reducing fees and aligning them with those on imported cement. He also praised the federal and state delegations for their visit and their engagement with the factory’s issues.
