25 Killed in Israeli Strikes; Israel Claims Targeting Hamas Leaders in Gaza

At least 25 Palestinians were killed and more than 77 others injured in Israeli airstrikes on neighborhoods in Gaza City and Khan Yunis on Wednesday morning, amid Israeli claims of targeting resistance leaders.
According to a source at the Al-Maqdasi Hospital, 6 Palestinians were killed and several others—including women and children—injured in a strike on a building sheltering displaced people in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast Gaza City.
The Nasser Medical Complex reported that 7 Palestinians were killed when Israeli drones targeted tents housing displaced families in Mawasi, Khan Yunis.
Meanwhile, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that Israeli artillery and airstrikes hit areas beyond the “yellow line” in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis.
The Israeli military claimed it had begun targeting Hamas positions across Gaza in response to attacks on its forces in the Khan Yunis area.
The Israeli Army Radio cited a security source saying the air force targeted a meeting of Hamas leaders in the Zeitoun neighborhood, east Gaza. The source claimed that among those targeted were the commander of the Zeitoun Brigade, the deputy regional commander, and the head of the naval unit of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
