Minnawi: Fighting Will Not Stop Until the Militia Lays Down Its Weapons

Darfur Regional Governor Minni Arko Minnawi said the martyrs of the “National Dignity Battle” left a clear message: remain steadfast until the rightful owners reclaim their land and Darfur—and all of Sudan—returns to peace and stability.

In a Facebook post, he wrote: “On this day, as hearts gather to honor the martyrs of the National Dignity Battle, we stand in reverence before the sacrifices they made in defense of our land and our people.”

Minnawi stressed that the battles will not cease until the RSF (Janjaweed) militia disarms, vacates civilians’ homes, and until every displaced person and refugee returns home with dignity.

He added that the blood of the martyrs will remain a guiding light on the path to liberation, asserting that their historical responsibility is to safeguard this legacy until victory is achieved.
