Darfur Regional Governor Minni Arko Minawi welcomed the UK’s announcement of sanctions against several RSF leaders, calling it a significant step toward holding perpetrators accountable for crimes and violations in Sudan.
In a Facebook post, he urged the expansion of sanctions to include RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti,” whom he described as the chief decision-maker and direct architect of the violence.
He stressed the need to hold top leaders accountable to ensure justice and end impunity.
