Sudan: Agricultural Crop Prices Rise

Agricultural crop prices recorded notable increases in the markets of Sennar, Um Rawaba, New Halfa, and Abu Gouta.
In Sennar, the price of a quintal of white sesame reached SDG 144,000, while another white sesame range stood between SDG 126,000–131,000. A 5-kilogram sack of millet was priced at SDG 72,000, Marawi Tabat sorghum at SDG 70,000, and Feterita sorghum at SDG 50,000.
In Um Rawaba, red sesame sold at SDG 115,000 per quintal, white sesame at SDG 118,000, karkadeh at SDG 180,000, and hashab gum at SDG 510,000. Feterita sorghum reached SDG 160,000 per ardeb, raw peanuts SDG 115,000 per quintal, and a sack of baobab fruit at SDG 420,000.
In New Halfa, Feterita sorghum sacks ranged between SDG 80,000–85,000, wheat reached SDG 140,000, and raw peanuts ranged between SDG 55,000–60,000.
In Abu Gouta, Abu Ahmed sorghum (new) ranged between SDG 105,000–110,000, Feterita sorghum SDG 95,000–100,000, hybrid sorghum SDG 125,000–130,000, and Tabat sorghum SDG 135,000–140,000. Wheat ranged between SDG 150,000–160,000, chickpeas between SDG 420,000–430,000, and onions between SDG 80,000–105,000.
