King of Britain: We Stand in Solidarity with the Sudanese People Amid the Devastating Crisis

Britain’s King Charles III addressed a message to the Sudanese people on the occasion of Sudan’s Independence Day, offering his “warmest congratulations” to the people of Sudan.

He said the United Kingdom recognizes the long and deep history shared by the two countries, as well as the enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation that continue to unite their peoples.

The King expressed his “deepest condolences” to those suffering immensely as a result of the ongoing conflict in Sudan, marked by vast humanitarian needs and worsened by the devastating impact of famine.

He added that, as the destructive crisis continues, the United Kingdom stands in solidarity with the Sudanese people and wishes them strength in their pursuit of peace and stability. He concluded by expressing hope that these aspirations will bear fruit over time and contribute to rebuilding relations between the two countries.
