Electricity Company: Arrival of Transformers Reduces Dark Areas

The Director General of the Sudan Electricity Company, Engineer and Consultant Abdullah Mohamed Ali, confirmed that the arrival of electrical transformers supports national efforts to rehabilitate the electricity sector.

In a press statement issued through the Media Coordination Council of the Sudan Electricity Company, coinciding with the launch of receiving and transporting the first batch of transformers from Port Sudan to Khartoum State, he said the move represents a key pillar of the emergency program to restore power supply and reduce darkened areas.

He praised the high level of institutional cooperation and the direct follow-up by Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, Member of the Sovereign Council and Head of the Committee for Facilitating the Return to Khartoum, in addition to the continued support from the Ministers of Energy and Finance in overcoming obstacles.

Engineer Abdullah also lauded the complementary roles of the Customs Authority, the Sea Ports Corporation, and the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization in expediting clearance and transportation procedures. He explained that the arrival of the transformers crowns the success of technical teams in rehabilitating the power network across generation, transmission, and distribution.

The Director General stressed that work will continue with full momentum and the backing of state leadership until the electricity sector fully recovers, serving citizens and supporting stability and reconstruction throughout Khartoum State.
