Approximately 150 non-commissioned officers and soldiers from the Sudanese Armed Forces and allied forces have arrived inside Sudan following previous withdrawals from the cities of El-Fasher, Babanusa, and Heglig.
The troops were transported via air and land bridges extending from Wau to Renk and then to Kosti, under the sponsorship of the Commander-in-Chief and Deputy Commander-in-Chief.
Well-informed sources said the Sudanese Embassy in South Sudan, in coordination with South Sudanese Presidential Security Advisor Tut Gatluak, secured and facilitated the transfer of the withdrawn officers and soldiers from Heglig, Babanusa, and El-Fasher into Sudanese territory through tightly coordinated security and logistical arrangements that lasted more than 21 days.
The sources also revealed the arrival of another group of officers and soldiers from Heglig, who were transferred via an air bridge following the Bentiu–Faluj–Kosti route as part of measures aimed at ensuring the safe return of the forces to their destinations inside the country.
