The United Nations on Monday expressed deep concern over reports of drone attacks on the city of Dilling in South Kordofan State, which resulted in civilian casualties.
In a statement posted on the X platform, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Sudan said the strikes carried out between January 1 and 3 had exacerbated the already deteriorating humanitarian situation for civilians trapped inside the city.
The statement called for the protection of civilians at all times, noting that the militia has repeatedly carried out drone attacks on Dilling in recent days.
