Emphasis on Central Bank’s Role in Financing and Guaranteeing Strategic Projects

Minister of Energy, Advisor Eng. Al-Mu‘tasim Ibrahim Ahmed, underscored the role of the Central Bank of Sudan in financing and guaranteeing strategic projects that contribute to strengthening the national economy.

During his meeting on Sunday with Central Bank Governor Amina Al-Toumi at her office, attended by Eng. Al-Sadiq Jaber, member of the committee overseeing the duties of the Undersecretary’s Office, discussions focused on the status of energy projects in the oil and electricity sectors.

The minister reviewed the progress of project implementation, challenges facing them, priority files in the oil and electricity sectors, as well as regional electricity interconnection projects with other countries.

For her part, Central Bank Governor Amina Al-Toumi affirmed the importance of the central bank’s role in national economic projects, particularly energy projects in the oil and electricity sectors.
