The Sudan Doctors Network said the Rapid Support Forces targeted, on Thursday, the Al-Karqal area linking the cities of Al-Dilling and Kadugli using drones, killing two people and injuring four others, some critically.
In a statement, the network said the direct targeting of a civilian-populated area constitutes a fully fledged crime and reflects a dangerous disregard for innocent lives and a continued pattern of targeting civilians without regard for international conventions and norms.
The Sudan Doctors Network held the RSF leadership fully responsible for the attack, describing it as part of a pattern of repeated violations against civilians across multiple regions, which further deepens citizens’ suffering and undermines efforts to protect lives and maintain minimum stability.
The network called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to take a firm stance to stop these violations and pressure for the protection of civilians.
