Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta, member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, affirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces and allied supporting units will continue fighting with steadfastness and determination until a decisive and honorable victory is achieved across the entire country.
During an inspection visit to the forward positions in El-Obeid and the command of the 5th Infantry Division, Al-Atta paid tribute to the martyrs of what he described as the “Battle of Dignity,” hailing them as martyrs of a proud and valiant nation. He prayed for God’s mercy upon them, a swift recovery for the wounded and injured, and the release of all detainees, abductees, prisoners of war, and those forcibly disappeared.
He congratulated members of the joint forces, commending their efforts and sacrifices for the dignity and unity of Sudan and the safety of its people. He also conveyed the greetings of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the Chief of Staff, and the commanders of the various military formations in El-Obeid, including the 14th Infantry Division (Mountain Lions), the 54th Brigade in Dilling, Abu Jubeiha units, the Habila Control, Al-Sayyad 1 and Al-Sayyad 2, the Exports Control, the General Intelligence Service forces, support battalions, joint forces, and the Camel Corps.
Lieutenant General Al-Atta praised the resilience and sacrifices of the Camel Corps, describing them as the foundation of all armies, and lauded the victories they have achieved, which, he said, have brought pride and reassurance to the Sudanese people.
