Al-Burhan: We Appreciate Qatar’s Support for Sudan in All Circumstances

The Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, met on Monday at his office in Khartoum with Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sada, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Sudan, and members of the diplomatic mission.

Al-Burhan praised the deep-rooted and distinguished fraternal relations between the two sisterly nations, expressing his profound appreciation for the State of Qatar’s steadfast support for Sudan and its people under various circumstances.

For his part, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, along with His Highness’s wishes for Al-Burhan’s continued health and happiness, and for Sudan—its government and people—lasting progress, stability, and prosperity.

The ambassador also congratulated the Sovereignty Council Chairman on the government’s return to carrying out its duties from the capital, Khartoum, expressing hope that Sudan would witness further development, growth, stability, and peace.

The meeting reviewed avenues for strengthening bilateral relations and advancing prospects for joint cooperation across various fields, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
