Musa Hilal, head of the Revolutionary Awakening Council, revealed that his forces have completed preparations to join combat operations against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the near future. He said the council’s troops are well-equipped, diverse, and highly prepared.
Speaking to groups of his fighters at one of their camps, Hilal stated that the council is fully ready for battle and that its fighters will join frontline operations. “We will fight alongside the Sudanese Armed Forces, the Joint Forces, and mobilized units in the ‘Hunter’ formation and other advancing columns,” he said, invoking a proverb: “Purebred horses reveal themselves at the final turn.”
He added, “As the Awakening Council, our forces are part of the Sudanese Armed Forces and will operate under its directives and command.”
Hilal stressed that his forces would commit fully to what he described as the “War of Dignity,” aiming to rid Darfur of rebellion, mercenaries, and RSF elements brought from both الداخل and abroad.
He further claimed that the RSF is currently experiencing a phase of weakness and fragmentation, with its leadership and fighters in a difficult position, predicting they would soon flee Darfur. He also alleged that the Dagalo family is making arrangements to leave the region.
