Official: Middle East War Has Limited Impact on Energy Market

An official at the Ministry of Energy has acknowledged that, despite the challenges facing the global energy market due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, its overall impact remains limited, though it has contributed to rising prices.
Engineer Al-Sadiq Mahmoud Jaber, a member of the office steering committee and representative of the Minister of Energy, made the remarks during an employee Eid gathering program. He emphasized the ministry’s role in supporting the national economy, noting that it has been operating efficiently, ensuring fuel supply availability and continuing efforts to build sufficient strategic reserves for the country.
He praised employees for their patience, dedication, and commitment to maintaining operations under current conditions, stressing the importance of teamwork in developing the ministry’s infrastructure and creating a conducive work environment to achieve institutional goals.
Jaber also highlighted the practical training program recently launched in several general departments, stating that it contributes to knowledge exchange and human resource development. He added that the ministry is among the key institutions that responded to the call to resume work in Khartoum.
For his part, Director General of Human Resources Dr. Fadl Mahmoud extended Eid Al-Fitr greetings to employees, underscoring the ministry’s role in supporting the national economy and calling for overcoming the challenges facing Sudan and neighboring countries, which impact the country’s stability.
