Specifications: Inspection and Analysis of (4.195) Tons of Exported Gold

The Sudanese Standards and Metrology Authority in the Red Sea State revealed that it conducted inspection and analysis of 4.195 tons of exported gold from companies, including gold bars (re-manufactured), as well as 130 kilograms of exported silver. In addition, 245 kilograms of imported gold jewelry and 117 kilograms of locally produced gold jewelry were examined, along with 2.591 tons of gold bars for local analysis during the first quarter of the current year through the Hallmarking Unit of the Red Sea Standards.
Engineer Waleed Mohammed Othman, Director of the Authority’s sector in the Red Sea State, affirmed the readiness of his administration to carry out all technical operations required for gold exports, which are conducted by qualified technicians using high-precision equipment. He reiterated the continued cooperation with all government and private gold companies to facilitate export flow and protect products, consumers, and the national economy.
Khalifa Mohammed Othman, Head of the Measurement and Calibration Department, stated that the Hallmarking Unit plays a strategic regulatory role over precious metals in accordance with the Measurement and Calibration Law, including analysis and inspection to determine purity levels, as well as stamping and weighing procedures for gold and silver, whether for export or local production of bullion and jewelry.
Engineer Riyad Mahjoub, Head of the Hallmarking Unit, explained that regulatory and technical efforts are ongoing to ensure that gold bullion prepared for export by mining companies complies with the required technical standards, carried out by highly qualified technical staff across all aspects of analysis and inspection for exported gold, whether for manufacturing, re-import, or local gold jewelry.
