Sudan Events – Nahed Oshi<\/strong><\/p>\n The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development participated in activities of \u201cConference on the Role of the Arab Private Sector in Improving Waste Management \u201cTowards Recycled Arab Economies by Addressing Waste and Emissions,\u201d which was held within the activities of \u201cQatar Horticultural Expo 2023\u201d in the State of Qatar during the period 02\/10\/2023 – 28\/03\/2024.<\/p>\n The Director General of the organization, Professor Ibrahim Al-Dakhiri, considered improving waste management an important input into the circular economy to contribute to sustainable development and environmental sustainability, which is known as achieving a balance between the economy and the environment.<\/p>\n He described it as vital in today\u2019s world, which is full of environmental challenges, including the treatment of waste and emissions, indicating that the goal and challenge is to achieve a balance between the present and the future, which means meeting the requirements of our reality while preserving the requirements of future generations and an openness that will help the circular economy within the framework of designing economic activities so that they achieve effectiveness in exploiting resources. Reducing loss and waste by recycling products and materials, which leads to improving the environmental impact and achieving an electronic footprint.<\/p>\n Al-Dukhairi said that the importance of holding such conference stems from the pivotal role played by the private sector, Arab companies and specialized Arab organizations concerned with improving waste management and moving towards environmentally friendly businesses.<\/p>\n It also aims to shed light on the opportunities and challenges that Arab countries face in the field of waste management and how the private sector can contribute to achieving environmental sustainability goals and contribute effectively to improving waste management and moving towards environmentally friendly businesses through its investments and efforts in awareness, sustainability, innovation and cooperation with concerned parties.
