We always wanted him as coach of Barcelona. We all felt that we had improved the team, but things went wrong.&#8221; Laporta said in statements published by the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cXavi told me that it was better for him to leave, that he was resigning and that he was giving up a year remaining on his contract. He said that with such conviction that we should listen to him. I told him if we had to fight with him, we would do that, but he said that he had thought about it.&#8221; He added. &#8220;There is a lot of pressure on him. I told him that I accept this formula &#8211; staying until June 30 &#8211; just because it is him.&#8221; He contiued.<br \/>\n&#8220;Xavi is an honest person. At first, I thought it was because of the defeat, but I saw that he had thought about the matter and reflected on it, and I thought it was the best way to improve, free the team, and free himself as well.
