{"id":1520,"date":"2023-10-02T19:51:02","date_gmt":"2023-10-02T19:51:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/?p=1520"},"modified":"2023-10-02T20:00:06","modified_gmt":"2023-10-02T20:00:06","slug":"to-the-soul-of-ahmed-alkhair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/index.php\/2023\/10\/02\/to-the-soul-of-ahmed-alkhair\/","title":{"rendered":"To the Soul of Ahmed Alkhair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By &#8211; Ahmed Gumaa Siddiek<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Email: aahmedgumaa@yahoo.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Sudanese revolution began in the Classroom<br \/>\nFrom Kassala to Khartoum<br \/>\nTo spread the light of education<br \/>\nFrom the North to the west, from the South to the East<br \/>\nAnd pave the way for the nation<br \/>\nTo attain emancipation<\/p>\n<p>But the killers were faster<br \/>\nTo put out the candle<br \/>\nThat you used to handle<br \/>\nAnd plant the pleasure of learning in our children,<br \/>\nIn our women and men<\/p>\n<p>They killed the teacher<br \/>\nWho paves the way for the future<br \/>\nThe future of all kids<\/p>\n<p>They killed the man with a (tool)<br \/>\nIn cold blood, with flood of blood<br \/>\nThey made the (hole)<br \/>\nNot in his body but in his soul<br \/>\nIn the soul of the whole generations<br \/>\nIn fact, in the soul of all the nation<\/p>\n<p>With pain, with great pain<br \/>\nThey hurt the spirit of our children<br \/>\nAs they pierced their daggers in their little hearts<br \/>\nDeprived them from the science and the arts<\/p>\n<p>When the kids came to school that day<br \/>\nThey were all happy and gay<br \/>\nReady to learn the ABC and some arts<br \/>\nBut when the lesson was about to start<br \/>\nThey found out with all the dismay<br \/>\nThat their teacher was unable to show up<br \/>\nAnd he was late for that day<br \/>\nBut nobody dared to tell them the truth or say<br \/>\nWhy the teacher was late<br \/>\nAnd the only thing they had to know<br \/>\nThat (Ahmed Alkhair) had passed away<br \/>\nTo pave the way for their bright future<br \/>\nBecause he was their teacher<\/p>\n<p>He was the only one among the few<br \/>\nWho really knew<br \/>\nHow to make them refined with knowledge<br \/>\nEquipped with skills<br \/>\nTo handle the pen, not the gun<br \/>\nTo write and spell and not to kill<br \/>\nBut always learn with pleasure and fun<br \/>\nAnd think high<br \/>\nAnd spire to the sky<br \/>\nBut to think high<br \/>\nAnd spire to sky<br \/>\nWith great imagination<br \/>\nThrough the pleasure of education<\/p>\n<p>He was the one who used to make them hopeful<br \/>\nHappy and joyful<br \/>\nBut the killers took off his soul<br \/>\nAnd terminated his role<br \/>\nTo educate and please the boys and girls<br \/>\nOf the Sudan<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed Alkhair,<br \/>\nWe are all ashamed to tell the story that took place<br \/>\nAnd the news that spread through the space<\/p>\n<p>We are all ashamed to tell the story that was to boom<br \/>\nFrom Kassla to Khartoum<br \/>\nAnd sadly leaked into our classrooms<br \/>\nInto the ears of the kids<br \/>\nTo betray the killers<br \/>\nWho denied the role of the teacher<br \/>\nWho makes the future<br \/>\nAnd engineers the fate of all nations<br \/>\nThrough the pleasure of education<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed Alkhair<br \/>\nMay your soul rest in peace in your holy place<br \/>\nWe hope in peace you sleep<br \/>\nBut we, we will keep, to cry and weep<br \/>\nThe fate of the teacher, the fate of all teachers<br \/>\nAnd the fate of our future<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed Alkhair<br \/>\nWe are ashamed to tell the story<br \/>\nAnd all embarrassed<br \/>\nTo go through details<br \/>\nWe are sorry, we&#8217;re so sorry<br \/>\nTo tell only some of your story<br \/>\nBut peacefully sleep in your last resort<br \/>\nWe will take revenge<br \/>\nAs long as we live, a couple of years<br \/>\nOr a whole of an age<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed Alkhair was a teacher, who had been tortured to death by inserting an iron bar in his back and bled to death, in Kassala in East Sudan.
