{"id":15466,"date":"2024-03-06T05:57:46","date_gmt":"2024-03-06T05:57:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/?p=15466"},"modified":"2024-03-06T05:57:46","modified_gmt":"2024-03-06T05:57:46","slug":"the-government-agrees-to-indirect-negotiations-with-the-militia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/06\/the-government-agrees-to-indirect-negotiations-with-the-militia\/","title":{"rendered":"The government agrees to indirect negotiations with the militia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sudan Events &#8211; Agencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sudanese Foreign Minister, Ali Al-Sadiq Ali, affirmed that on Tuesday the Sudanese authorities agreed to hold indirect talks with the Rapid Support Forces RSF mediated by Libya and Turkey.\u201d<br \/>\nAl-Sadiq said, in an interview to \u201cSputnik\u201d agency, on the sidelines of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya: \u201cWe are still committed to the important of finding a peaceful solution through talks , but at the same time we affirmed that any solution must be based on the \u201cJeddah Platform,\u201d and we will implement it and then &#8220;We can move forward.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe added: \u201cWe, based on our conviction of the necessity of holding talks , that we agreed to immediately through the Libyan initiative, are expected to conduct indirect negotiations through the mediation of Libya and Turkey.\u201d<br \/>\nThe Sudanese Foreign Minister indicated that \u201cthe agreement, which was reached in May 2023, through the \u201cJeddah Platform,\u201d includes the withdrawal of the Rapid Support Forces RSF from civilian homes and government institutions, and the evacuation of the capital, Khartoum, from all armed elements.<br \/>\nHowever, the Rapid Support Forces RSF did not commit to&#8230; under the terms of this agreement.\u201d<br \/>\nLast week, the Libyan capital, Tripoli, witnessed the visit of the Sudanese army SAF commander in chief . Lt. Gen.
