{"id":17403,"date":"2024-04-02T04:05:59","date_gmt":"2024-04-02T01:05:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/?p=17403"},"modified":"2024-04-02T04:05:59","modified_gmt":"2024-04-02T01:05:59","slug":"farmers-sue-insurance-companies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/index.php\/2024\/04\/02\/farmers-sue-insurance-companies\/","title":{"rendered":"Farmers Sue Insurance Companies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sudan Events &#8211; Follow-ups<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Farmers\u2019 Steering Committee in Gedaref State has announced that it was taking legal measures against agricultural insurance companies and drafting a legal memorandum for the President of the Sovereign Council on the importance of obliging banks to finance the next agricultural season and exempting agricultural gasoline fees from customs, value added, and state fees.<br \/>\nFarmer and lawyer Ahmed Babiker Al-Dhaw Shoula, the legal advisor and official spokesman for the Steering Committee, revealed that agricultural insurance companies were unable to pay compensation to affected farmers and producers for two years even though they completed their insurance procedures.<br \/>\nHe said that agricultural insurance companies have begun to falsely take the money of farmers and producers without any consideration.
