Farouq Suleiman\u2019s life was linked to the Sudanese television drama project, as he is one of the most important names founding in this project. He is at least the most prolific and most communicative and persistent.
\nFarouq was born in the year 1937 in the city of Omdurman – Al-Masalama district. He received his primary education in Al-Masalama, then the Coptic School, and secondary school at Farouq School in Khartoum, then he joined the University of… Cairo – Khartoum Branch – Faculty of Law.
\nHe had received studies in television directing in Egypt and then a course in dramatic directing in the Federal Republic of Germany. He had devoted his life, since joining television, which was with the first beginnings of television broadcasting, to one project, which was television drama, so it was not strange.
\nHis name should be associated with the first Sudanese series, which is \u201cAl-Marabi\u201d by Hassan Abdel Majeed, and his name should be associated with the first series whose episodes exceeded seven episodes, which is the series \u201cMoney and Love\u201d by Omar Al-Hamidi, and his name should also be associated with the first series whose episodes exceeded twenty episodes, which is the series \u201cThe White Brigade\u201d by Mahjoub Brier. And the screenwriter, Amin Mohamed Ahmed, makes Farouq undisputedly occupy the heart of the television drama career. \nWhen we talk about him, we are talking about an amazing sensitivity in choosing the texts and an amazing sensitivity in choosing the actors that revealed, indisputably, an in-depth knowledge of the mood of the Sudanese viewer. Perhaps this sensitivity, as I see it, is what made his work such overwhelming public acceptance.

\nHe was able to combine in his career between Adel Muhammad Khair and Abdel Razeq Jalal in the field of writing, between Fathia Mohamed Ahmed and Hala Agha, and between Awad Siddiq and Al-Rashid Ahmed Issa.
