Foreign Ministry: The Paris Conference Aims to Isolate Sudan and Obstruct a Quick Solution to War<\/p>\n
Sudan Events – Agencies<\/strong><\/p>\n Sudan has called on the UN Security Council to officially condemn the UAE and urge it to stop supplying the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) with military equipment and financing fighters. It also renewed its criticism and rejection of the Paris conference held without the official government participation.<\/p>\n Idriss said, in his speech before the Security Council, \u201cExplicitly condemning the UAE in the Council constitutes the correct beginning for stopping the war, while asking it to stop supplying the militias with military equipment and armored cars, financing fighters, and providing jamming tools and advanced missiles such as (Javelin 148).\u201d<\/p>\n He demanded the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council urging the UAE to stop supplying weapons to RSF, fueling the war, inciting the few, and displacing the Sudanese people.<\/p>\n Idriss pointed out that the RSF\u2019s preparations for the war \u201cwould not have happened, had it not been for the fact that the UAE, the regional sponsor of the armed aggression plan, continued to provide military and logistical support to support the RSFand its militia allies, in addition to political, media and propaganda support.\u201d<\/p>\n The Sudanese official revealed that the RSF obtained \u201cJavelin 148 FGM\u201d missiles and used them against targets near the army command in the capital, Khartoum. The authorities also found advanced missiles at militia sites.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cIt appears that the regional sponsors of the war, through these weapons, wanted to tip the balance in favor of the militia in the conflict that they insist on continuing, as they secretly seek to ban the armament of the Sudanese army and secretly meet with RSF militia activists.\u201d<\/p>\n Al-Harith Idriss stressed that Iran does not play any role in the war, and the return of diplomatic relations with it does not pose any threat to Israel\u2019s security.<\/p>\n Regarding the Paris conference held in the middle of this month without the government\u2019s participation, Al-Harith Idriss said that holding it in this way \u201cwas aimed at isolating Sudan.\u201d<\/p>\n He pointed out that the conference hinders reaching a quick solution to the war in Sudan, as the warring countries participated in it.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThe fact that the aggressor countries and their regional partners are invited, with the exception of the victim state, indicates a significant influence from the aggressive state and on the position of the state sponsoring the conference.\u201d<\/p>\n Al-Harith Idriss stressed that \u201csince the European Union has become a party and is an official political system.
