{"id":20386,"date":"2024-05-01T06:08:26","date_gmt":"2024-05-01T03:08:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/?p=20386"},"modified":"2024-05-01T06:08:26","modified_gmt":"2024-05-01T03:08:26","slug":"gum-exporters-division-calls-for-urgent-address-of-export-problems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/index.php\/2024\/05\/01\/gum-exporters-division-calls-for-urgent-address-of-export-problems\/","title":{"rendered":"Gum Exporters Division Calls for Urgent Address of Export Problems"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sudan Events &#8211; Rehab Abdullah<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Head of the Gum Arabic Exporters Division, Ahmed Al-Annan, has stressed the necessity of urgently address the problems that hindered export.<br \/>\nHe called on the Central Bank of Sudan to solve the problem of late returns.<br \/>\nIn his statement (Sudan Events), he announced that he welcomed the consensus that had been reached, and called for the speedy lifting of the ban on export companies.<br \/>\nAl-Annan called for raising the ceiling for export companies in the \u201cBankak\u201d application, with the need to think about finding realistic solutions for the bank financing granted to bank customers in terms of how to pay, and strengthening the banking system through consolidation to help in financing exports.<br \/>\nHe stressed the importance of reducing fees for new export specifications.<br \/>\nAl-Annan explained that the central bank is required to amend monetary and financial policies to help increase Sudanese exports, and to besiege smuggling to Egypt, Libya, Chad, and South Sudan through economic security, in addition to besieging smugglers in coordination between economic security and the chambers of commerce, and setting standards and controls for every commodity exported under it. An export registry is granted, with a price incentive for export revenues as the revenue grows, in addition to a reduction in the business profits tax if the company\u2019s exports reach a specific ceiling.<br \/>\nAl-Annan proposed setting a percentage of 2% of each proceeds issued in foreign exchange for the exporter to pay his obligations from ships\u2019 fees and to pay subscriptions for exhibitions, periodicals and certificates. He called for searching for external sources of insurance for Sudanese exports and strengthening and diversifying the network of bank correspondents abroad, in addition to establishing factories for packing materials for exports (sacks).
