The leadership office of the Unionist Assembly passed an internal memorandum to the party\u2019s membership at home and abroad containing a number of what it called irregularities and violations committed by the head of the interim executive office of the Assembly, Babiker Faisal, and a number of heads of bodies.
\nAccording to the memorandum, a copy of which Sudan Events obtained, Babiker Faisal violated the Unionist Assembly\u2019s charter by signing the political partnership with the military component, in addition to appointing Mohammad Al-Faki to the Sovereign Council without referring to the party\u2019s organs, which almost caused a blow to the unity of the organization had it not been for the voice of wisdom and reason to prevail by some of the leaders of the group out of concern for the unity of the nascent project, and the memorandum revealed the appointment of some occupants of executive positions in the government of the second transitional period without setting agreed-upon criteria and selectively and not presenting them within the bodies of the Unionist group, which caused the absence of institutional work within the party.
\nThe memorandum revealed that the head of the Executive Office, Babiker Faisal, was notified of the \u201cSecond Covenant\u201d group violating the assembly\u2019s charter, through secret meetings that it held alone and in which it planned actions that would harm the unity of the assembly, in clear violation of the prior agreement on the necessity of all the currents that make up the assembly to drop their flags and adhere to the charter that they signed.
\nThe memorandum accused the head of the Executive Office, Babiker Faisal, of failing to complete the work of the party\u2019s general conference within a year, according to what was announced in the press conference held in July 2019, which set a period of one year for the transitional structure according to specific powers limited to holding the party\u2019s general conference and managing daily political affairs. The memorandum indicated that the head of the Executive Office failed to accomplish these tasks and exceeded the period granted by four years despite the expiration of the period and without referring to the founding platform and requesting renewal and authorization from the transitional agencies, in addition to his rejection of all the proposals that were presented to him to address the matter of the expiration of the term of the transitional structure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
