Member of the Sovereign Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Shams Al-Din Kabashi, returned to the country on Monday evening after an official visit to Juba that lasted several days.
\nDuring the visit, he discussed with the senior leadership and senior officials in South Sudan bilateral relations between the two countries and the development of joint cooperation on a number of strategic issues of common interest.
\nKabashi praised the mediation efforts of the State of the South and its keenness to reach an agreement regarding the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need in South and West Kordofan and the Blue Nile.

\nThe Minister of Defense said that humanitarian work should only be concerned with human life, away from any other political or security goals, noting that the movement insisted on including the rebel Rapid Support militia in the negotiation process, which demonstrates the Popular Movement\u2019s identification with the grave violations committed by the terrorist militia against the people. \nThe head of the government delegation added that the SPLM-N insisted on not signing or considering any document or agreement proposal presented by the government delegation or the mediation committee to deliver humanitarian aid to the aforementioned states, under the pretext that humanitarian aid can be passed without any written commitment, ignoring the most important obligations of humanitarian work, which is the necessity of securing specific paths in areas where there are conflicts.
