Disagreements have exploded publicly during the past few hours within the National Umma Party against the backdrop of participation in the founding conference of the Coordination of Democratic Civil Forces \u201cTaqadum,\u201d which it intends to hold in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, in the coming days, between the two groups of the party\u2019s presidency institution led by Maryam Al-Sadiq and the group of the party\u2019s designated president, Major General Fadlallah Burma Nasser.
\nRejecting the approach
\nThe membership of the Presidency Institution of the party decided to refuse to participate in any Taqadum coordination event, which she said \u201cdoes not follow the proper methods for calling for it, especially the founding conference of Taqadum, in which the institution was not followed in selecting the party\u2019s representatives.\u201d It was done without the knowledge of the Presidency Institution , the Coordination Council, and the party\u2019s elected institutions in the states, and she said Most of the invitations were directed to party cadres in a personal capacity and in a selective manner, and the Presidency pointed out that Taqadum\u2019s approach to selecting the party\u2019s representatives is not compatible with the party\u2019s keenness to develop joint work mechanisms.
\nPolitical heresy
\nPolitical analyst Dr. Rashid Al-Tijani pointed out that there is an institutional problem within the National Umma Party that emerged through the issuance of two different statements from within the party, and he said, \u201cThis is an unhealthy situation that must be resolved.\u201d
\nTo know the party’s true position.
\nAl-Tijani pointed out in an interview with Sudan Events that if the national Umma does not resolve the differences within it, it will be excluded from political action because its position will be ambiguous, which threatens the party.
\nRegarding the repercussions of this on the Taqadum coordination, he said that Taqadum\u2019s approach is opportunistic and will choose the group that is compatible with its position. He pointed out that the Taqadum coordination is fragile, as evidenced by the fact that Abdullah Hamdouk signed the Nairobi Declaration in his personal capacity and as a former prime minister, which is what he described as political heresy.
\nUrgent reply
\nThe group of the party\u2019s designated head, Fadlallah Burma, responded to the statement of the Presidency Institution, and confirmed that the National Umma Party is a \u201cfounding member\u201d of the \u201cTaqadum\u201d coordination and participates in its work and activities, and that the party is working effectively to end the preparatory process for the founding conference of \u201cTaqadum\u201d through its representatives, and seeks to achieving the party\u2019s reform vision for coordination.
\nThe Burma Nasser Group said that the party institution\u2019s statement contained a number of inaccurate points that violated the regulations and the constitution, and that everything that resulted from it was unconstitutional, and those who issued the statement would be dealt with in accordance with institutional accountability frameworks.
\nThe group affirmed the Umma\u2019s continued participation in \u201cTaqadum\u201d and its position on the war and its keenness to complete the process of unifying the national ranks through its effective movement through Taqaddum and its continuous communication with the democratic and civil forces in order to find an urgent solution to the nation\u2019s crisis.
\nA wave of anger
\nOn the other hand, sources within the National Umma Party confirmed that a coordination committee led by Babiker Faisal and Abdullah Hamdouk is trying hard to persuade prominent leaders in the National Umma Party to violate the party\u2019s decision to boycott participation in the founding conference and to advance by submitting individual invitations.
