Sudan Events – Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Rapid Support Forces militia assassinated Sudanese journalist Muawiya Abdulrazeq and three others. At the same time, they killed journalist Makawi Mohammed Ahmed, who worked for the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).<\/p>\n

The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate mourned the loss of journalist Muawiya Abdulrazeq, who was killed by the Rapid Support Forces along with three of his family members.<\/p>\n

The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate strongly condemned the assassination of journalist Muawiya Abdulrazeq and his family members while they were in their home in South Darushab, north of Khartoum Bahri.<\/p>\n

The late Muawiya worked for the newspapers Al-Sahafa, Al-Jareeda, Akhir Lahza, and Al-Akhbar. He was known for his perseverance and diligence, especially in investigative journalism.<\/p>\n

Muawiya Abdulrazeq was well-known in the journalistic community for his cheerful demeanor, constant smile, and good nature.<\/p>\n

The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate held the leaders of the Rapid Support Forces fully responsible for his assassination. The syndicate called for an immediate investigation into this crime and for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.<\/p>\n

The syndicate also urged the Rapid Support Forces to stop targeting journalists and civilians and called on human rights organizations and those concerned with the protection of journalists to intervene and exert pressure to ensure the safety and protection of journalists.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the General Union of Sudanese Journalists condemned the assassination of journalist Muawiya Abdulrazeq, stating that this heinous crime adds to the record of the Rapid Support Forces’ assaults on journalists in Sudan.<\/p>\n

“The General Union of Sudanese Journalists mourns the martyr Muawiya Abdulrazeq, who, throughout the war, provided humanitarian aid to the residents of Darushab along with a group of young people in one of the neighborhood’s houses before they were raided and killed by the Rapid Support Forces,” the union added.<\/p>\n

In related news, the Resistance Committees in Wad Madani, the capital of Al-Jazeera state, reported that the Rapid Support Forces killed journalist Makawi Mohammed Ahmed, who worked for the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), and his brother Shams al-Din while they were defending their village of Wad al-Noora in the 24 Al-Qurashi locality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
