Sources said that the city of Rahad is witnessing security fragility and fears among citizens around the clock due to armed robberies and the continued violations of the Rapid Support ForcesRSF on the one hand and their supporters from the residents of the area on the other hand.
\nAccording to an eyewitness who spoke to “Al-Taghyeer”, Rahad has begun to witness active movement in arms trafficking, particularly inside the city’s large market under the protection and supervision of the Rapid Support Forces RSF militia.
\nThe eyewitness added that the Rapid Support Forces RSF have brought many weapons and ammunition such as “Kalashnikov and C-3” which are now being sold and displayed inside the city’s large market and that most of the buyers are supporters of those forces.
\nCitizens from the area told “Al-Taghyeer” that purchasing power has decreased due to the lack of job opportunities for citizens, most of whom are no longer able to cover their household expenses, and the most suffering are the employees, a large number of whom have turned to work in new professions such as selling vegetables in the neighborhoods.
\nThey added that the Rapid Support Forces RSF continued to loot and kidnap cargo carriers, leaving their owners with two options: either pay money to retrieve them or leave them to be looted if they did not pay the required amount.
\nOne of the youth activists who preferred to remain anonymous said that during the past few days they tried to establish an emergency room for the city, but the Rapid Support Forces RSF stipulated that they work under their direct supervision so that they could carry out their civil work within the area, but they refused.
\nRegarding the number of civilian victims within the area, sources reported according to \u201cAl-Taghyeer\u201d that the number of dead exceeded \u201c100\u201d since the Rapid Support Forces RSF took control of the city, and stated that these are approximate statistics and there are no accurate number yet.
