{"id":26617,"date":"2024-07-02T01:20:37","date_gmt":"2024-07-01T22:20:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/?p=26617"},"modified":"2024-07-02T01:20:37","modified_gmt":"2024-07-01T22:20:37","slug":"11-killed-in-tribal-clashes-in-darfur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/index.php\/2024\/07\/02\/11-killed-in-tribal-clashes-in-darfur\/","title":{"rendered":"(11) Killed in Tribal Clashes in Darfur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sudan Events &#8211; Agencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At least 11 people were killed and large numbers of livestock were looted in ethnic clashes in large areas of North Darfur state.<br \/>\nActivist Hassan Jarmis told \u201cSudan Tribune\u201d that \u201cmilitias affiliated with Arab tribes attacked villages inhabited by Zaghawa ethnic group northwest of Kutum locality, and the citizens confronted them, which led to the killing of 11 people and the injury of 4 others.\u201d<br \/>\nHe explained that the areas subjected to daily violations by Arab militias supported by the Rapid Support Forces RSF are \u201cBreidak, Anka, Amray, Donki Bashim, Half, Hashaba, and Umm Sidr,\u201d which are known as the areas of \u201cDar Beri,\u201d one of the branches of Zaghawa tribe.<br \/>\nHe revealed that the Arab groups and the Rapid Support Forces RSF looted large quantities of livestock, including cows, camels, sheep and goats, and transported them to the \u201cAl-Zarq\u201d base during their attacks on Zaghawa villages, in addition to harassing women and looting weekly markets.<br \/>\nJermis revealed that the Rapid Support RSF Militia established bases in the areas of Sani Haya, Donki Bashim and all the way to the town of Al-Zarq on the borders between Sudan, Egypt and Libya, which led to clashes with citizens residing in those areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sudan Events &#8211; Agencies At least 11 people were killed and large numbers of livestock were looted in ethnic clashes in large areas of North Darfur state.
