{"id":28159,"date":"2024-07-18T02:36:27","date_gmt":"2024-07-17T23:36:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/?p=28159"},"modified":"2024-07-18T02:36:27","modified_gmt":"2024-07-17T23:36:27","slug":"injuries-among-sudanese-refugees-in-an-attack-on-a-camp-in-ethiopia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sudanevents.com\/index.php\/2024\/07\/18\/injuries-among-sudanese-refugees-in-an-attack-on-a-camp-in-ethiopia\/","title":{"rendered":"Injuries among Sudanese Refugees in An Attack on a camp in Ethiopia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sudan Events &#8211; Agencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A number of Sudanese refugees, including a child, were injured by bullets during armed clashes between the Ethiopian Federal Police and an armed Ethiopian group in the \u201cKumer\u201d area in eastern Ethiopia, which hosts thousands of Sudanese refugees.<br \/>\nSudanese refugees revealed, according to \u201cSudan Tribune\u201d, on Wednesday, that an armed group attacked the Ethiopian Federal Police forces in the \u201cKumer\u201d area in the Amhara region, at dawn on Wednesday, which led to the killing of 9 Ethiopian policemen.<br \/>\nThe refugees affirmed that a 3-year-old child and a number of Sudanese refugees were injured during the attack.<br \/>\nFor its part, the Sudanese Refugee Coordination in the Amhara region said in a statement according to \u201cSudan Tribune\u201d that the Ethiopian authorities withdrew the federal police that had detained the refugees in the \u201cOlala\u201d forests after the attack.<br \/>\nThe coordination described the situation as dangerous, as it was before, in light of the continued attacks, killings and kidnappings, and the widespread movement of armed groups in the region, especially in the areas of \u201cKumer\u201d and \u201cOulala\u201d, which represents a continuous threat to the lives of refugees directly.
