This came after the team\u2019s principal, Mike Krack, said that the door would always be open for the Dutch driver following Adrian Newey.<br \/>\nThe British news agency (PA Media) reported: &#8220;Newey, one of the greatest technical minds of his generation, signed a long-term contract with Aston Martin on March 1st, in a deal worth 20 million pounds annually (7.23 million dollars).&#8221;<br \/>\nNewey, 65, who left Red Bull after nearly two decades with the team, made his decision last May.<br \/>\nVerstappen, whose contract with Red Bull runs until 2028, has won the last three World Championships with Newey&#8217;s involvement.<br \/>\nVerstappen commented: &#8220;This is something that might happen in the future, and I will think about it, but not right now.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe added: &#8220;Newey&#8217;s departure is understandable, and I get it. I sent him a message after I heard about it, and I am happy for him.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe Dutch driver continued: &#8220;I have always said I would love for him to stay, but you can&#8217;t change anything. I&#8217;m just excited for those taking on new challenges.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe explained: &#8220;I know Lawrence Stroll will do everything he can to make Aston Martin successful.&#8221;<br \/>\nKrack had previously stated: &#8220;The door will always remain open for Dutch driver Max Verstappen to follow Adrian Newey and join the team.&#8221;<br \/>\nKrack believes that: &#8220;Newey, who has won World Championships with Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull, was brought in by Aston Martin&#8217;s owner, Lawrence Stroll, which will make the team more attractive.&#8221;<br \/>\nKrack added on Thursday: &#8220;In my opinion, the door will always remain open for Max Verstappen in every way.&#8221;<br \/>\nHe continued: &#8220;We will become more appealing across all levels thanks to this signing, given the increasing credibility.
