We all know that when the sea becomes turbulent and strong winds blow, the foam is carried to the shores.

2

It was reported that a delegation from the African Peace and Security Council visited Port Sudan last weekend. Why now? What will they do? What agenda did they discuss with the officials? And how did they dare visit Port Sudan in the first place? We shall see.

3

The second piece of news is that the talentless chatterbox, the U.S. envoy Mr. Tom Perriello, along with Samantha Power, are honored to visit Port Sudan. Why now? What are they doing? What is the purpose of their planned visit? How did this idle chatterbox dare to visit Port Sudan at such a time?

4

The third piece of news is that the corrupt Kenyan president, Ruto, recently announced that they are preparing an African force to protect civilians in Sudan! Why now? Where was this brilliant idea over the past year and a half, during which half of the Sudanese population was killed, displaced, and dragged through the mud?

So, this is the foam that has floated and will float. Why now? You must have noticed that whenever the army’s winds blow, filling the nation’s sails with songs of victory, their cries rise, and they search for an exit for the militias to avoid a crushing defeat. Whenever the army advances, they look for a conference or a negotiating table in hopes of finding a way to bring back the militias, their allies, agents, and sponsors to the political and military arena. But that is in vain!

5

I am not surprised by this rush from Juba to Geneva, from Cairo to Addis Ababa, from Kenya to Djibouti, every time the militia retreats on the battlefield, loses positions, cities, and battles. However, I am amazed by the audacity of the lawyers of the Janjaweed devils, who raise banners saying “No to war” and “It must stop,” while doing everything to fuel it and support the Janjaweed!

6

Take, for instance, the African Peace and Security Council delegation. This delegation represents the African Union, the same union that rushed to suspend Sudan’s membership without giving it a chance to correct its situation, then proceeded to gather all Sudan’s enemies to plan a safe exit for the Janjaweed, as it did when it hastily formed the so-called “Expanded Mechanism” in the early days of the war. It gathered in that mechanism, astonishingly, all the members of what is now known as the “Save Lives Coalition,” which was founded in Geneva two months ago! This union, which is hostile to Sudan, has now sent its Peace and Security Council to Port Sudan.

7

Does this union not realize that any initiative or mediation is useless now? Especially since their sponsors have failed to budge Sudan from its position despite the enormous pressure they have exerted. Wasn’t this the same union that witnessed the militia’s signing of agreements in Jeddah but failed to even call them to commit to what they signed? Isn’t it the same union that refused to clearly condemn the genocide of the Masalit? Didn’t this union remain completely silent while the militia wreaked havoc on the land?
It has now come, after a year and a half, to do what? Or propose what? Show some shame! After doing all that, they have now come to Port Sudan and been welcomed. So, what was the result? After concluding its visit to Port Sudan and listening to all the officials, it issued a statement yesterday saying: “On October 3, 2024, the Peace and Security Council made a solidarity visit to Port Sudan, where it met with the transitional leadership in Sudan and stressed the immediate need for a ceasefire and the resumption of the political process.”
Imagine! That’s all that resulted from the visit: an immediate call for a ceasefire—nothing more! The same line the union has been following, trying to save the militia. However, the best part of the visit was Mr. Bankole’s denial of any connection between the union and the call for African forces to intervene to protect civilians.

8

Another piece of foam that will soon float to the surface in Port Sudan is the U.S. envoy. Even though I despise this idle chatterbox, U.S. envoy Tom Perriello, I find myself compelled to discuss his nonsense every time. I don’t know why he is coming to Port Sudan now. What is his agenda? And what will he do? Even before his arrival, news broke that he called on the African Union to prepare a force to intervene to protect civilians, and this was reported by Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper. But two days after the news was published, he denied issuing it, saying it was a proposal made by another entity, not him!

The Egyptian ambassador to Addis Ababa, Mohamed Gad, whose country currently chairs the Peace and Security Council of the African Union, stated when asked about the idea of sending forces to protect civilians: “This is not a new proposition. The idea of sending African forces has been proposed before and was discussed on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on September 25. It was decisively rejected by Egypt.”
So, it’s an absurd and unrealistic idea, proposed by members of the “Soul-Taking Coalition.” The irony is that the U.S. calls for the protection of civilians in Sudan, while its weapons are mowing them down in Gaza and Lebanon! Why doesn’t the U.S. send forces to protect civilians in Gaza and southern Lebanon? Or is it only “kind and compassionate” towards Sudanese? Its humanity only emerged after it saw that the militias it supports were on the verge of collapse! So, it doesn’t want to protect civilians, but rather the civilians aligned with the Janjaweed.

9

Now, the U.S. has denied any connection to the call for African forces to intervene, just as Egypt and the African Union rejected it. Therefore, it’s a baseless call, promoted solely by President Ruto, who advocated for it on CNN last week. It’s well known that his mouth is stuffed with Janjaweed bribes; he only speaks by their command and in their interest. The strange thing is that he is now preparing to market this nonsense in IGAD, the African Union, and the international community. This president’s foam surfaced early on the sea, but he is now drowning in Janjaweed bribes and their sponsors, and he won’t be able to convince anyone with his drivel. Sudan will thwart his conspiracies, as it has done many times before. God is in control of all affairs.

As I see Adil Al-Baz 1 Three pieces of news surfaced in the media, through which I realized that a lot of foam has floated and will continue to float on the surface of the sea in Port Sudan.
