For some, it is seen as a transition from the old Sudan to a new Sudan. Here, it is important to note that change, which is the foundation of progress and creativity, can only occur in accordance with the divine law: “(Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves).”

The change advocated by the forces championing change must lead us to the application of good governance. The pillars of good governance include: the rule of law, transparency, public participation in decision-making, justice, efficiency in performance, effective administration, accountability, and responsibility, all in line with a clear vision and a binding program for everyone.

The Duties of the Revolutionaries:

The glorious December revolution brought about a fundamental shift in the political trajectory. For the revolution to come full circle, the forces of change must undertake the following:

.Create a political environment that ensures a smooth transition to a sustainable democratic system.

.Prioritize national sentiments and the supreme interests of the country above all else.

.Acknowledge mistakes, review, critique, and correct them.

.Adopt new and innovative methods for managing differences and accepting others.

.Commit to establishing a decentralized democratic system, characterized by broad participation, good governance, transparency, and a collective, participatory spirit.

.Close the chapters of war once and for all by addressing its root causes.

.Seek innovative and unconventional solutions to address the country’s various issues.

.Deepen the values of tolerance, the right to disagree, and diversity.

.Establish a new social contract through which citizens regain their rights and commit to their duties.

.Eliminate all anti-democratic practices.

.Rebuild state institutions on democratic and institutional foundations.

.Agree on a code of honor to which everyone adheres.

.Agree on a national project and a professional revival program based on a new vision for advancing the nation, transitioning from a traditional society to a modern one, and from a military-security society to a civil society under a new culture where leaders are subject to public monitoring and accountability.

.Eliminate all anti-democratic practices (reiterated).

.Reach consensus on establishing balanced foreign relations governed by the country’s supreme interests, independent of regional and international axes.

.Dismantle the party state and establish the state of the nation.

.Combat corruption, prosecute the corrupt, and recover stolen funds.

.Achieve transitional justice to uncover the truth, provide reparations, compensate both individuals and groups, and prevent impunity.

.The call for democracy in our society does not stem from genuine political and ideological convictions; therefore, the struggle for power has never been about limiting or restraining it. The goal has always been, and continues to be, the removal of individuals and replacing them with new faces.

.Commit to justice, which is the third pillar of the revolution’s slogans, both as a standard and in practice.

.Protect the country’s resources from depletion and dedicate them to the benefit of future generations.

.Rely on heritage and abandon indifference, dependency, and reliance on others

Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amin The country is experiencing active and decisive interactions regarding identity and belonging.
