Have you heard it? That howl that rose from the depths of cyberspace and spread across the wilderness! It\u2019s a strange howl, out of place and out of time. It came at a time when people are fighting to defend their country and their honor, sacrificing their lives for their homeland. At such a moment, the trumpets of \u201cProgress\u201d blow emptily, announcing their final bankruptcy, as they have nothing left to do but make noise. Every time, they play a new tune, deceptive words\u2026 How?<\/div>\n

We shifted from \u201cFreedom, Peace, and Justice\u201d on the eve of what they call the \u201cDecember Revolution\u201d to a strange howl: \u201cSorry, we have no army,\u201d \u201cThe army is the army of the Islamists,\u201d and then they formed what they at the time called a smart partnership with the same Islamist army, the \u201cSecurity Committee\u201d of the \u201cSalvation\u201d regime. That was Hemeti\u2019s time, the \u201cstrongman\u201d who scared the Islamists. Back then, in pursuit of seats of power, they allied with the Islamist army and their security committee, even shamelessly allying with the murderer of their comrades in the leadership massacre!<\/div>\n

We reaped nothing but the ashes of these deceitful howls. And when the \u201cwind shifted\u201d and that same \u201cSecurity Committee\u201d overthrew them, a new howl began: \u201cBanana coup,\u201d \u201cCoup of the remnants,\u201d \u201cSave the revolution, it\u2019s dying.\u201d But they soon returned to negotiate with the Islamist army that had ousted them, the same army that appointed a Prime Minister for the Islamist coup before he resigned!<\/div>\n

Once again, the howlers\u2019 sails were filled with air, especially after the conspiracy of the framework agreement began. The tune of the howl changed to: \u201cThe army is the army of Sudan, not Burhan\u2019s army nor the Islamists\u2019 army.\u201d Then, when the \u201cIslamists of the Security Committee\u201d agreed once again to engage in negotiations with the scattered remnants of Qahat, Burhan transformed from a conspirator and Islamist to a \u201cskillful general,\u201d and they once again agreed to share power with the same \u201cIslamist army,\u201d with the same people who killed them during the leadership sit-in while \u201cthe girls were sleeping.\u201d And all of this just to return to power!<\/div>\n

When the winds of the framework agreement blew and they neared harvesting the mirage, they said: \u201cIt\u2019s either the framework or war.\u201d War broke out and swept away the framework, and the army returned to being the Islamists\u2019 army, and they said the war was ignited by the Islamists, not the Janjaweed! The Islamists, they claimed, were the ones driving the trucks, occupying airports, attacking the leadership, and taking over camps!<\/div>\n

By God! If the Islamists wanted to ignite a war across the country, they could have done so when they were in their best shape, in control, with arms in hand, and the Janjaweed at their command. They could have crushed the revolution and killed thousands, just as your Janjaweed allies did, but they chose the country\u2019s safety over fleeting power when they saw the people seeking change at that moment. They handed you a stable and, at the very least, safe country. So, what did you do with it? If they wanted to start a war, they wouldn\u2019t have let you strike an agreement with their \u201cSecurity Committee,\u201d which gave you half the power! \u2026 Isn\u2019t that so? Why would they start a war when they could have allowed General Hashim Abdel Muttalib, the Chief of Staff, to take control of the country with a simple telegram from the leadership? Why start a war at all, when you and your allies at the time are powerless?<\/div>\n

The Islamists are smarter than to wage a foolish war like the one you waged with your allies. By God, have you seen how clean their coup was thirty years ago? Even the court couldn\u2019t find a single piece of evidence to convict any of the participants. President Bashir himself, may God grant him health and well-being, saved the court, admitting, \u201cMy men did nothing,\u201d and that he alone carried out the coup!<\/div>\n

For the thousandth time, they started a new howl, after igniting the war, failing to align themselves directly with the Janjaweed, even though they share the same sponsor! The new howl began, weak and feeble: \u201cNo to war,\u201d and then the howl slightly evolved: \u201cIt must stop.\u201d How will it stop? They don\u2019t know, but it must stop! Who will stop it? Their masters in the international and regional community, and their sponsors, will surely stop it, then engineer a political process that will bring them back to the seats of power once again! They have no real political action except for holding workshops and seminars that they live off of.<\/div>\n

All of this led to nothing\u2014neither the war stopped nor the conspiracies of the international community and the sponsors worked. They then began searching through their old files and came up with a new howl, one they are currently echoing online: \u201cThe war was started to bury the December Revolution.\u201d By God! Hasn\u2019t the corpse of the revolution been buried yet? Did you leave it exposed like you left the bodies of its martyrs to rot in the morgues? How does that make any sense? \u2026 We shall see.
