Sudan has provided new evidence to support its complaint, submitted to the UN Security Council in March, against the UAE and its subsequent actions. On Friday, Sudan sent a letter to the Security Council detailing the ongoing aggression by the UAE against Sudan and its people, carried out through the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.<\/div>\n
The letter from Sudan\u2019s Permanent Representative to the UN in New York addressed the UAE\u2019s treatment of injured militia fighters at the Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi, attaching photos of several of them receiving medical care there.<\/div>\n
It also included details and photos of heavy artillery ammunition boxes marked with the UAE\u2019s name, seized by Sudanese armed forces after battles in Jebel Moya. Additionally, the letter mentioned trucks transporting arms and ammunition for the militia, carrying Dubai license plates, as well as modern UAE-manufactured medical supplies found in the militia\u2019s possession. The letter indicated that these items are now in the hands of the Sudanese army and can be inspected by UN experts.<\/div>\n
According to the letter, reports confirm that the UAE is actively recruiting mercenaries from several countries to fight alongside the militia in Sudan, following its usual military intervention practices in other countries. It also highlighted the financial, logistical, and diplomatic support the UAE provides to the militia.<\/div>\n
The letter emphasized that the UAE is no longer merely an indirect supporter of the militia but a primary partner in the frontlines of the aggression against Sudan and its armed forces.<\/div>\n
It described the UAE\u2019s actions as those of a rogue state, defying international law and the UN system, seeking to destabilize other countries. The letter further claimed that the UAE has a colonial project in Sudan based on ethnic superiority, threatening coexistence and stability in the region.<\/div>\n
Sudan called on the Security Council to take a firm and clear stance against the UAE\u2019s ongoing aggressive activities towards Sudan, denouncing its role in the atrocities civilians are facing and holding it fully accountable under international law for its aggression.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
