Military sources told Sudan Tribune that the armed forces carried out intense ground attacks using heavy weapons and artillery, supported by the air force, through the Al-Faw and Al-Khayyari fronts.<br \/>\nThe forces managed to take control of several areas on the Gedaref-Wad Madani road, including Hafira, Wad Faqisha, Wad Al-Reed, Al-Hatounab, Al-Shadaida, and Al-Harqa. These areas are approximately 20-25 kilometers from the Hantoub Bridge on the Blue Nile, leading to the city of Wad Madani.<br \/>\nSources added that the armed forces, through Friday\u2019s operations at the Al-Faw front, began imposing control over eastern Wad Madani and are now engaged in ground military operations supported by the air force to regain control over Al-Jazira State and Al-Dandar locality in eastern Sennar State. They have made significant progress on both fronts.<br \/>\nIn a related context, military and local sources reported that the air force targeted a convoy of 15 combat vehicles belonging to the Rapid Support Forces militia coming from the city of Al-Hasaheisa.<br \/>\nSources revealed to Sudan Tribune that, as part of its plan to regain control over Wad Madani, the army carried out a military attack led by Lieutenant General Adam Haroun, capturing 12 villages east of Al-Jazira State and reaching the outskirts of Al-Shabraqa, where the militia is stationed to block the army\u2019s movements.<br \/>\nThe sources stated that Friday\u2019s battle involved a fleet of six fighter jets, drones, heavy artillery, and advanced weapons. Army soldiers posted videos showing the forces\u2019 advance on the Al-Faw front and destroyed military vehicles they claimed belonged to the Rapid Support Forces militia.
