The discussions revolved around the bilateral relations between the two nations.<\/p>\n<p>The talks explored ways to strengthen and advance relations between the countries, fostering collaboration that serves their mutual interests. They also addressed the developments in Sudan and efforts to achieve security, stability, and peace in the country, along with issues of mutual concern.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Burhan briefed President Afwerki on the latest developments in Sudan and efforts to resolve the Sudanese crisis. He reiterated the Sudanese government\u2019s commitment to finding solutions to the crisis, ending the war, and establishing peace.<\/p>\n<p>He also provided an update on the violations and crimes committed by the terrorist rebel militias against civilians, as well as the systematic destruction of Sudan\u2019s state institutions. Al-Burhan reaffirmed the determination of the armed forces, other security agencies, and mobilized citizens to eliminate and defeat the militias.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Burhan expressed his deep appreciation for the level of Sudanese-Eritrean relations across various fields, highlighting the strong bonds of brotherhood between the two peoples. He praised Eritrea\u2019s supportive stance toward Sudan in preserving its unity and achieving the aspirations of the Sudanese people for security and stability. He said, \u201cWe thank the Eritrean government and people for their historic and noble stance, their hospitality toward the Sudanese people during their ordeal, and their assistance and support. This is no surprise from the Eritrean government and its kind people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In his press statements in Asmara, Al-Burhan added, \u201cWe thank the Eritrean government and people for these noble and significant positions, which reflect the genuine nature of the Eritrean people and their solidarity with their Sudanese brothers. Sudan will never forget these stances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The head of the Sovereignty Council praised the bilateral relations between the two countries and affirmed his commitment to strengthening and advancing them in all areas for the benefit of both nations.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, President Afwerki thanked Al-Burhan for his visit, reiterating Eritrea\u2019s steadfast support for the Sudanese people in their quest for security and stability. He highlighted the historical and eternal ties between the two peoples and emphasized the strength of bilateral relations.
