He described it as an extension of the first forum, which took place at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum in 2022. Organizationally, this forum will include 24 political components spread across the country, especially the leaderships.

He continued: “This forum is being held under different challenges than those faced by the first forum, with much greater challenges following the war. These challenges have extended into a comprehensive war, backed by external forces at the regional and international levels, using internal political and military powers from the Rapid Support Forces and the Forces of Freedom and Change – the Central Council.”

He added: “You know that this major aggression aimed to completely divide Sudan into small states that would be hard to control. There are, of course, conflicting agendas, as the parties involved in this aggression are many. The main goal is to divide Sudan into fragmented states and either control them or install a puppet government loyal to specific entities, with the UAE being a key player, supported by several countries worldwide.”

Bahar emphasized that the scale of the disaster is immense and that the aggression is still ongoing. He continued: “Especially, as you all know, efforts to continue military mobilization and support, especially through airstrikes in the western parts of the country in Kordofan and Darfur, continue with drone drops, weapons delivery, and the recruitment of mercenaries. These matters persist. However, I have said that the challenges are ongoing, but all indications point to the fact that the aggression has been significantly repelled, especially in central Sudan and the national capital.”

He pointed out that while this challenge may continue for some time in the western parts of the country, “we need to stay focused and work with the same unity and strength until it is completely repelled in the capital, in central Sudan, and in Darfur.”

Political Building Challenge

Abu Gorda said: “We see that the political and social challenge, even after the war, will be immense, especially in the context of political building, which goes beyond the accumulated mistakes and the significant challenges that have continued since the country’s independence.”

He continued: “This requires us to think in a different way to find solutions that will enable us to continue political work and manage the country differently. This requires all political blocks, including the Sudan Justice Alliance (TAS), to present visions and try to communicate with all blocks and alliances to find common ground through Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue that has started for some time, especially with national political forces.”

Topics of the Second Forum

The second forum will discuss a range of issues, including the current situation in the country through military, political, media, economic, and social axes, as well as political and party reform in the country (Sudanese parties, the experience of political blocs, democratic practices, challenges, and reform requirements). The forum will also focus on the alliance’s vision for the country’s future, ending internal and external military aggression, Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue, the challenges and requirements of transition, elections, and the stages of strengthening and rebuilding the country (infrastructure, society, economy, politics, military and security institutions, foreign relations).

The forum will also discuss the alliance’s comprehensive vision, a summarized vision, a proposed constitution, building and activating the alliance for the next stage, and its structure.

Alliance Components

The Sudan Justice Alliance is made up of the Liberation and Justice Party, the Federal Umma Alliance Party, the National Work Party, the People’s Movement Party, the Northern and Southern Fong Parties, the Progressive Justice and Development Party, the Sudanese People’s Party, the People’s Movement for Peace and Development, the Sudanese National Party (original), the Al-Wefaq Now Party, the National Liberation Party, the National Renaissance Party, the Revolutionaries for Change Movement, the Higher Council for Sudanese Abroad, the National Bloc Alliance, the Democratic People’s Movement, the Justice and Equality Movement (Women), the Sudanese Youth Movement for the Future (Neutrality), the Shehama Movement, the Beja Congress for Development and Reform, the State of Law and Development Party, the Nilein Sons Gathering, the National Justice and Equality Party, and the Central Sudanese Movement (Hasm).

Source: Al-Muhaqiq News Website

Sudan Events – Agencies Port Sudan, the capital of the Red Sea State, will host the second political forum for the Sudan Justice Alliance (TAS), with participation from 24 political parties under the leadership of Bahar Idris Abu Gorda, next Saturday.
