The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Salwa Adam Baniya, revealed that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militias are still preventing humanitarian aid from entering the city of El Fasher and obstructing its delivery to those in need.<\/div>\n

She called on the international community to take a stance to prohibit this behavior by the militias, highlighting the ongoing siege on El Fasher.<\/div>\n
On Tuesday, Salwa bid farewell, in the presence of members of the Technical Committee for Humanitarian Aid in Port Sudan, to convoys of aid destined for various states in Sudan. The aim is to alleviate the conditions of displacement and the suffering of those returning to liberated areas, emphasizing that this work is a duty of the state, represented by the commission.<\/div>\n

In a press statement, Salwa said that the dispatched shipments include:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
400 tons of flour to Khartoum State<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
100 tons to Kassala State<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
300 tons of flour to Sennar State (Singah), along with 150 tons of food and shelter supplies<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
100 tons of flour to Gedaref State<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
100 tons of flour to White Nile State, including 50 tons to Al-Jazirah Aba in the White Nile<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
150 tons of flour for internally displaced persons in Central and South Darfur who have reached White Nile State, bringing the total aid for White Nile to 450 tons<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
2,000 tons to River Nile State<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
1,000 tons to Northern State<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
375 tons to Abu Dileeq<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She also noted the continued arrival of aid ships.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner commended the significant efforts and sacrifices made by the national forces for the nation and its citizens, saluting the fighters on the front lines.<\/div>\n
She expressed the government\u2019s appreciation to all supporters, whether organizations or other entities, both international and local, for their significant contributions to the citizens. She mentioned that aid-laden ships are currently docked at the port and will be unloaded and distributed to the states in the next two days.<\/div>\n

Salwa stated that the government prioritizes its citizens and spares no effort in facilitating the delivery of aid, urging citizens to return to liberated areas, as “the war is nearing its end.”<\/div>\n
She also announced upcoming field visits by federal delegations from the National Committee to Singah, Gedaref, and Khartoum to oversee the aid delivery operations.<\/div>\n

Regarding the humanitarian situation in South Kordofan and Darfur, she revealed that the contract for transporting aid to South Kordofan via air has been renewed for two additional months after the first one-month contract expired. Negotiations are ongoing to deliver designated supplies to South Kordofan.<\/div>\n

Salwa highlighted South Kordofan\u2019s unique challenges, as it contains areas under the control of the SPLM-North faction led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu, where aerial aid drops are conducted.<\/div>\n
She noted, “In Darfur, we have open corridors to deliver aid, along with aerial and ground means to ensure aid reaches the five states.” However, she pointed out obstacles in delivering aid to El Fasher in North Darfur State.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
