The Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Yusuf Sharif, warned of the dangers of consultations being conducted by some political and civil parties to form an \u201calternative government.\u201d<\/div>\n
Sharif stressed his rejection of moves he described as \u201ctargeting the fragmentation of Sudan, similar to the situation in Libya, which is ruled by two governments in the east and west.\u201d<\/div>\n
In statements quoted by Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Ali Yusuf confirmed that any movements aiming to form an alternative government would weaken Sudan and complicate efforts to resolve the current crisis.<\/div>\n
The Sudanese minister stated that \u201cthe military option is the only way to deal with the ongoing internal war.\u201d He added that the Sudanese army is heading towards a military solution, as there is no alternative negotiation path at this time.<\/div>\n
