Amorim, who was appointed in November, said during the pre-match press conference: \u201cOf course, it\u2019s a tough period because we\u2019re losing a lot of matches, and we\u2019re facing the best team this season.\u201d<\/div>\n

He added: \u201cIn football, anything can happen in a single game. If you talk about this season, the better team wins most of the time. Right now, they are better than us, but we can win any match.\u201d<\/div>\n

Amorim emphasized that past losses against Liverpool, including the 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford last September, are unlikely to intimidate him.<\/div>\n

\u201cI focus on performance. I don\u2019t think about losing or what could happen. We\u2019ve prepared for this match to win, and we know what\u2019s ahead of us,\u201d said the former Sporting CP coach.<\/div>\n

Amorim also revealed that winger Marcus Rashford is unlikely to play against Liverpool due to illness. While he avoided discussing the January transfer window in detail, he confirmed the club is close to renewing the contract of Ivorian winger Amad Diallo (22), whose contract was set to expire soon. Additionally, United has decided to extend defender Harry Maguire\u2019s (31) contract until 2026.<\/div>\n
