On Saturday, the Sudanese army, along with its supporting forces, succeeded in liberating the city of Wad Madani, the capital of the Gezira State, from the grip of the Rapid Support Forces militia.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Videos showed the army’s invasion of Wad Madani and the arrival of forces at the headquarters of the First Division and the city’s streets, while the militia members fled.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The army stormed the city after tightening its siege from several directions and conducting a parachute drop behind enemy lines in the city, which led to eliminating the sniper units before the forces advanced through the Hantoub Bridge, signaling the expulsion of the militia and the liberation of Wad Madani.<\/div>\n

Al-Burhan’s Pledge: The head of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, said that the Sudanese Armed Forces’ pledge to its people is to recover and cleanse every inch desecrated by the militia of Al-Daqlo and their mercenaries. He added, “Greetings to our people who endured the harm of the terrorist militia, greetings to the partners of the dignity battle from the joint forces, security forces, police, popular resistance, and popular support groups. Victory is from God and a near triumph.”<\/div>\n

Army Statement: The Armed Forces Command congratulated the Sudanese people for the entry of their forces into Wad Madani on Saturday morning. The army said in a statement that the forces are now working to cleanse pockets of the rebels inside the city. It confirmed that the Armed Forces and their supporting forces are advancing with determination and persistence on all fronts to cleanse every inch desecrated by the Al-Daqlo terrorist militia in the country.<\/div>\n

It continued, “Congratulations to the Armed Forces and their supporting forces everywhere, and to our people as they reclaim their dignity, security, and stability.”<\/div>\n

Celebrations of Sudanese People: Meanwhile, Sudanese people in various cities and abroad poured into the streets to celebrate the liberation of Wad Madani from the militia.<\/div>\n

The streets of Sudan witnessed a massive public explosion of joy over the restoration of Wad Madani. Sudanese chanted slogans such as “Madani is in our hearts, one army, one people, we are all the army.”<\/div>\n

Sudanese shed tears of happiness at the victory of the army and its supporting forces in the battle for the liberation of Wad Madani.<\/div>\n

Al-Issar: The People Have a Strong Will: In the same context, Minister of Culture and Information and official spokesperson for the Sudanese government, Khaled Al-Issar, congratulated the Sudanese people for the victories achieved in Gezira State and the city of Wad Madani.<\/div>\n

Al-Issar said in a tweet on Saturday, “The Sudanese people have a strong will… ‘They are unconquerable,’ and they will remain charged with faith and determination for victory. Their resolve will remain steadfast as mountains in facing all challenges and enduring crises, no matter how long or how many conspiracies arise.”<\/div>\n

He added, “Victory is in the hands of God, and He alone is capable of determining the outcomes. Greetings to the Sudanese Armed Forces, the security forces, the intelligence service, the joint forces, the mobilized groups, and everyone who contributed to the national victory.”<\/div>\n

Mennawi: The Spirit of Solidarity: In contrast, the governor of Darfur and the head of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Minni Arko Minnawi, congratulated the liberation of Wad Madani, saluting all the heroes who sacrificed dearly for dignity and freedom.<\/div>\n

Minnawi said on Facebook: “Today was a special day as we celebrated with the masses of our great people the liberation of Wad Madani. In these moments, the spirit of unity and solidarity between us was embodied as we gathered to confirm our willpower and determination in facing challenges.”<\/div>\n
