The event was attended by the regional governor, Minni Arko Minawi, along with several ministers and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Sudan.

Al-Burhan emphasized that education is a right for all and a duty of the state to support, calling for solutions to the challenges facing the sector. He praised the efforts of the Ministries of Higher Education and Communications in launching e-learning platforms.

He also highlighted UNICEF’s role in supporting e-learning and stressed the importance of education, noting that over 10 million children have lost their chance at schooling due to the devastating war waged by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia against the state and its institutions.

The Sovereignty Council President affirmed that Sudanese people are united and fighting together on all fronts to preserve the unity of Sudan, its people, and its resources. He pointed out that Sudan was among the first African nations to gain independence and played a key role in liberating many African countries, some of which are now conspiring against Sudan and attempting to interfere in its internal affairs.

Al-Burhan added, “We are determined to move forward on the path we have chosen with the Sudanese people,” noting the nation’s strong support for its armed forces in defeating the rebellion and any external conspiracies.

He saluted the armed forces, other security forces, and supporting joint forces participating in the “Dignity Battle,” stating, “The Sudanese people will ultimately prevail, whether some like it or not.” He reaffirmed that no external solutions would be imposed on the people.

Al-Burhan also sent a message to the African Union and the United Nations, asserting that the Sudanese people will not accept having a government or Hamdok—or any other individual—imposed on them. He stated, “Anyone who wishes to govern Sudan must first come to the homeland and fight alongside the Sudanese people to defeat the rebellion.” He emphasized that foreign agents would no longer have a place in Sudan.

He criticized the African Union and IGAD, suggesting they should redirect their efforts, as their current role does not align with the will of the Sudanese people. He questioned how they could propose leaders rejected by the Sudanese people to govern them again.

Al-Burhan expressed surprise at some countries advocating for Hamdok’s return to power, affirming that no one could impose a government on Sudan from the outside. He urged the international and regional communities to redirect their energies elsewhere, as the Sudanese people had clearly stated their position and were dedicating all their efforts to defeating the conspiracy against their security and stability.

He reiterated his commitment to the “Dignity Battle” until the country is cleansed of the rebellion, stating, “Our ultimate goal is to establish a single, professional national army responsible for carrying weapons and defending Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. This army must remain apolitical and uninvolved in partisan activities.”

Al-Burhan dismissed claims of communication with the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) as mere rumors and lies, clarifying that his only communications were with fighters on the battlefield.

He expressed gratitude to friendly and brotherly nations that have stood by Sudan, citing recent events in Addis Ababa as evidence that many nations supporting justice refrained from participating in the humanitarian conference, which he described as an attempt to whitewash the image of those attacking the Sudanese people.

Sudan Events – Reports On Monday, the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, addressed the Conference on Supporting E-Learning Initiatives and Educational Technology Infrastructure in the Darfur region.
