The meeting was attended by the committee chairman, Khartoum State Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza, along with the Deputy Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Al-Labeeb, the Deputy Chief of Military Intelligence, military district commanders, police leaders, and intelligence officials in Khartoum State.<\/p>\n
The meeting resulted in several important decisions aimed at enhancing the security of Khartoum\u2019s residents, with their impact expected to be seen in the coming days. Among the key decisions was the deployment of all security forces to their designated locations to resume their duties in all areas recently cleared of rebellion.<\/p>\n
This step is intended to establish security, eliminate negative phenomena and outlaws, and protect citizens’ lives and properties. Meanwhile, the state government will continue efforts to provide essential services to facilitate the return of displaced persons. Additionally, Al-Atta issued several directives, instructing the state security committee to complete all necessary arrangements and resume its functions from its pre-war locations within a maximum of 48 hours.<\/p>\n

Indian Aid Ship Arrives in Port Sudan<\/p>\n

\nOn Tuesday, an Indian medical aid ship carrying five tons of cancer and helminthiasis medications arrived at the northern port of Port Sudan. The shipment was received by Sudan\u2019s Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister of Culture and Information Khalid Al-Aysar, Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Salwa Adam, Director of the Marine Ports Authority Al-Jailani Mohamed Al-Jailani, Air Defense Forces Commander Major General Azhari Abbas, and India\u2019s Acting Ambassador to Sudan, J.S. Joshi.<\/p>\n
The aid is part of a continuing grant from India, following a previous shipment in 2023.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Health expressed gratitude to the Indian government for its ongoing support of Sudan\u2019s healthcare sector, noting that the medicines would benefit 18,000 cancer patients in urgent need of treatment. He also called for continued assistance to strengthen Sudan\u2019s health system and enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the medical field.<\/p>\n
For his part, India\u2019s Acting Ambassador reaffirmed his country\u2019s commitment to supporting Sudan during its exceptional circumstances. He emphasized India’s dedication to fostering mutual cooperation and backing Sudan at all levels, thanking all parties involved for facilitating the aid shipment\u2019s arrival and clearance.<\/p>\n
