The shipment was received by Sudan\u2019s Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister of Culture and Information Khalid Al-Aysar, Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Salwa Adam, Director of the Marine Ports Authority Al-Jailani Mohamed Al-Jailani, Air Defense Forces Commander Major General Azhari Abbas, and India\u2019s Acting Ambassador to Sudan, J.S. Joshi.<\/p>\n<p>The aid is part of a continuing grant from India, following a previous shipment in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister of Health expressed gratitude to the Indian government for its ongoing support of Sudan\u2019s healthcare sector, noting that the medicines would benefit 18,000 cancer patients in urgent need of treatment. He also called for continued assistance to strengthen Sudan\u2019s health system and enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the medical field.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, India\u2019s Acting Ambassador reaffirmed his country\u2019s commitment to supporting Sudan during its exceptional circumstances.
