He emphasized that the only viable solution at this stage is to open supply routes to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.<\/p>\n<p>El Fasher has been witnessing ongoing battles since last May, with the RSF imposing a siege on the city.<\/p>\n<p>Minawi reassured that \u201cthe military and operational situation in El Fasher is fully under control,\u201d adding, \u201cWe are confident at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regarding reports of an alliance between the RSF and the Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Movement led by Abdelaziz Al-Hilu, Minawi acknowledged that such a military alliance could bring short-term battlefield gains but warned that, in the long run, it could lead to scattered civil wars in these regions and among the alliance&#8217;s factions themselves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sudan Events \u2013 Agencies The Governor of Darfur and leader of the Sudan Liberation Army, Minni Arko Minawi, has warned of a severe deterioration in the humanitarian situation in El Fasher, North Darfur.
