Additionally, the city\u2019s reliance on the power barge as the sole source of electricity for the state, combined with the current loads exceeding available generation capacity, has contributed to the issue. Furthermore, illegal connections\u2014known as &#8220;Jabaddat&#8221;\u2014are causing extra load and placing additional strain on the network.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued Friday, the company confirmed that efforts are ongoing to restore the Atbara\u2013Port Sudan line as soon as possible.
