The Board of Directors of the Sudan Cotton Company, represented by Mr. Abdel Rahman Al-Shoubli and the company’s General Manager Mr. Abdullah Ibrahim Abu Alama, met today with farmers of the Al-Rahad Agricultural Project to discuss how to fund the current agricultural season in light of the losses caused by the war.<\/p>\n
The meeting emphasized the importance of finding solutions to irrigation problems in the project and repairing supply lines destroyed by the rebel militias.<\/p>\n
It also stressed the need to restore irrigation lines to ensure the success of the season.<\/p>\n
In the meeting, Mr. Al-Shoubli stated that the initial phase of the season\u2019s funding includes land preparation and the provision of seeds.<\/p>\n
He affirmed that efforts are underway to utilize the company’s resources to ensure good production.<\/p>\n
He also emphasized the importance of having legal contracts to ensure final accountability through specialized cooperatives.<\/p>\n
